Calculate the shortest wavelength in H spectrum of Lyman when `R_(H) = 109677 cm^(-1)`.

For Lyman series `n_(1) = 1`
For the shortest Lyman the energy difference in two levels showing transition should be maximum (i.e.`n_(2) = m)`
Using the expression
`(1)/(lambda) = R_(H)[(1)/(n_(1)^(2)) - (1)/(n_(2)^(2))]`
we get
`(1)/(lambda) = 109677 ((1)/(1^(2)) - (1)/(oo^(2))) cm^(-1) = 109677 cm^(-1)`
`or lambda = 911.7 xx 10^(-8) cm = 911.7 xx 10^(-10)m = 911.7 Å`
