Calculate the velocity of an electron placed in third orbit of H atom .Also calculate of revolation per second round the nucleus

For electron `e = 4.803 xx 10^(-10) esu `
` m = 9.108 xx 10^(-28) g `
Radius of third orbit ` r_(1) xx n^(2) = 0.529 xx 10^(-8) xx 9 cm`
`:. u_(n) = sqrt((1 xx (4.803 xx 10^(-10))^(2))/(9.108 xx 10^(-28) xx 0.529 xx 10^(-8) xx 9))`
`= 7.29 xx 10^(7) cm s^(-1)`
Now circunference of third orbit
`= 2 xx pi xx 0.529 xx 10^(-8) xx 9`
`= 29.93 xx 10^(-8) cm `
THerefore number of resolution per second
`= (u_(n))/(2pi r) = (7.29 xx 10^(7))/(29.93 xx 10^(-8)) = 2.43 xx 10^(14)`
