Let `square ABCD` be the given rectangle.
`BC=35cm`, `CD=12cm`
In `DeltaBCD`,
`/_BCD=90^(@)`……….(Angle of a rectangle)
`:.` by Pythagoras theorem,
`BD^(2)=BC^(2)+CD^(2) :. BD^(2)=35^(2)+12^(2)`
`:.BD^(2)=1225+144`
`:.BD^(2)=1369`
`:.BD=37cm` ......(Taking square roots of both the sides)
