The two sp hybridised orbitals of C-atom overlap with two p-orbitals of O-atoms to make `2 sigma` bonds while other tow electons of C-atoms are involved in `p pi = p pi` bonding with oxygen atom. Hence, it is linear is shape with equal C - O bond lengths and no dipole moment.
