Period of time `=2` years.
`:.` The population of the town after 2 years `=16000xx(1+5/100)^(2)`
`=16000xx(1+1/20)^(2)=16000xx(21/20)^(2)`
`=16000xx(21xx21)/(20xx20)`
`=17640`
Hence the population of the two after 2 years `=17640`
