The total profit is Rs. 1500 in a partnership business of Rajib and Rahul. If the capital of Rajib is Rs. 6000 and profit is Rs. 900.Calculate the capital of Rahul.

Total profit `=Rs. 1500`
Rajib's profit `=Rs. 900`
`:.` Rahul's profit `=Rs. (1500-900)=Rs. 600`
`:.` If the profit be Rs. 900 then capital `=Rs. 600`
`:.` If the profit be Rs. 1, then capital `=Rs. 6000/900`
`:.` If the profit be Rs. 600, then capital `=Rs. (6000xx600)/900=Rs. 4000`
Hence the capital of Rahul `=Rs. 4000`
