Inner diameter of the cylinder `= 30 cm`
`:.` Inner radius `= (30)/(2) cm = 15 cm = 1.5 dcm`
`:.` Inner curved surface `= 2 xx (22)/(7) xx 1.5 xx 147` sq.dcm [` :' 14.7m= 147 dcm`] `=1386` sq.dcm.
Outer diameter of the cylinder `= 26cm`
`:.` Outer radius `= (26)/(2) cm = 13 cm = 1.3 dcm`
`:. ` Outer curved surface area `= 2 xx (22)/(7) xx 1.3 xx 147 ` sq.dcm `= 1201.2` sq.dcm
`:.` Total curved surface of the pipe `=(1386+1201.2)` sq.dcm `= 2587.2` sq.dcm
`:.` Total cost of painting `= Rs. 2587.2xx2.25=Rs.5821.2`
Hence the required cost of painting `= Rs. 5821.2`.
