Unpolarized light is incident on a plane glass surface. What should be the angle of incidence so that the reflected and refracted rays are perpendicular to eachother ?

A

`60^(@)`

B

`90^(@)`

C

`0^(@)`

D

`57^(@)`

The correct Answer is:
D

Given, `i+r=pi//2`
According to Brewster's law, we get
`tani_(B)=mu=1.5`
`So," "i_(B)=tan^(-1)(1.5)rArri_(B)=57^(@)`
i.e. this is the Brewster's angle for air to glass interface.
