A modulating signal is a square wave as shown in the following figure .

While the carries wave is given by `e=4 sin (8 pi t)` volt . What is the modulation index ?

A

0.15

B

0.25

C

0.35

D

10.5

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
B

The amplitude of the modulating signal =1V
The amplitude of carries wave =4V
Thus , `A_(m)=1V and A_(c)=4V `
`:. mu=(A_(m))/(A_(c))=(1)/(4)=0.25`
