Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
A

As the oxidation number of a metal increases, ionic character decreases. In case of `Mn,Mn_(2)O_(7)` is a covalent green oil which possess perdominantly acidic character and it gives `HMnO_(4).V_(2)O_(5)` is amphoteric, it gives `VO_(4)^(3-)` as well as `VO_(2)^(+)` salts. CrO is basic while `Cr_(2)O_(3)` is amphoteric.
