When a person is sitting in an articficial satellite of earth, the gravitational pull on the person due to earth i.e., the weight of the person due to earth is counterbalanced by the cenrifugal force acting on the person. Because of this the net force acting on the person in satellite is zero and the person feels wightlessness. But when the person is standing on the moon, the gravitational pull on the person due to moon (which is left unbalanced) is responsible for his weight on the moon.
