A coil of 20 turns has an area of `800 mm^(2)` and carries a current of 0.5 A. If it is placed in a magnetic field of intensity 0.3T with its plane parallel to the field, what is the torque that it experiences ?

When the plane parallel to the field,
T = B in A `cos theta = 0.3 xx 0.5 xx 20 xx 800 xx 10^(-6) xx cos 0^(@)`
`:. tau = 2.4 xx 10^(-3) Nm`
