When does a LCR series circuit have minimum impedance ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

In LCR series circuit, Impedance `(Z)= sqrt(R^(2)+((1)/(omega C)-omega L)^(2))`
At a particular frequency, `omega L = (1)/(omega C)`
The impedance is minimum (Z = R)
This frequency is called resonant frequency.
