In the given circuit, find the potential differece across the `6muf` capacitor in steady state.

A

4 V

B

2 V

C

6 V

D

none of these

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
B

The given circuit in steady state reduces to
`I =(12 -4)/(4) 2A`
`V_(CD) =3xx2 =6V`
Now change on `6muF` capacitor is
`((6V)/((1)/(3)+(1)/(6) (1)/(muF)))=12muC`
Potential difference across `6muf` capacitor is `12muC//6muf = 2V`
