An angle aob made of a conducting wire moves along its bisector through a magnetic field B as suggested by figure. Find the emf induced between the two free ends if the magnetic field is perpendicular ot the plane of the angle.

The rod `OA` is equivalent to a battery of emf `vBlsin theta//2`. The positive charges of `OA` shift toward `A` due to the force. The positive terminal of the battery appears toward `A`. Similarly, the rod `OB` is equivalent to a battery of emf `vBlsin theta//2` equivalent circuit is shown in Fig.3.48. Clearly, the emf between points `A` and `B` is 2Blv sin theta//2`.
