(a) `N_(3)^(Θ):` No of valence electrons `=(7 xx 3 +1) =22 e^(-')s`
(b) `O_(3):` No of valence electrons `=8 xx 3 = 24 e^(-')s`
(c ) `CO_(2):` No of valence electrons `=(6 +2 xx 8) = 22 e^(-')s`
(d) `NO_(2)^(Θ):` No of valence electrons `=(7 + 2 xx 8+1) =24^(e-') s`
Isoelectronic species valence electron have same shape and same bond order
So the number of valence `e^(-')s` in `CO_(2)` and `N_(3)^(Θ)` are same Thus they are isoelectronic species, hence have same shape and same `BO` Similarly `O_(3)` and `NO_(2)^(Θ)` are isoelectronics species and thus have same shape and same `BO` .
