(g). A compound of `Ca, C` and `N` used as a fertiliser.

It has strong affinity for water giving `Mg(ClO_(4))_(2).6H_(2)O`. It loses all six water molecules of crystallisation at `250^(@)C` and drying property is regenerated.

`CaH_(2)+2H_(2)OrarrCa(OH)_(2)+2H_(2)`. Whereas in case of magnesium, due to the availability of low-lying `d-`orbitals of suitable energy, `Mg` can expand its coordination number to `6`.
Hence, hydrated magnesium ion exists as `[Mg(H_(2)O)_(6)]^(2+)`.
