`[Co(NH_(3))_(4)CI_(2)]^(o+)` This ion is an octahedral complex ion of `[Ma_(4)b_(2)]` type and hence has cis and trans isomers (two geometrical isomers) Both these isomers are optically inactive and hence do not show optical isomerism

(ii) `[Pt(en)Br_(2)CI_(2)]` This complex is an octahedral complex of `[M(AA)a_(2)b_(2)]` type and has cis and trams two geometrical isomers possible cis-isomer is optically active and gives tow optically active isomers (d -and l forms) whereas trans form is optically inactive Thus there are three isomers
