Unlike `LiA1H_4, NaBH_4` selectively reduces only `(-CHO)` group to `(-CH_2 OH)` group without affecting `(C-=C)` bond. On the other hand, `LAH` reduces `(-CHO)` group to `(-CH_2 OH)` group and `(C -= C)` bond to `(C = C)` bond in an anti manner.
