1.Apply a factor '2' to the reactant NaOH for balancing the number of sodium atoms. The resulting equation will be,
`2NaOH(aq) +H_2SO_4 (aq) + Na_2SO_4 (aq) + H_2O(l)`
2. Apply a factor '2'. to the product `H_2O` for the 2 balancing the number of hydrogen atoms. The resultmg equation will be, `2NaOH(aq) +H_2SO_4(aq) to Na_2SO_4(aq) + 2H_2O(l)`
3. In the above equation, the number of atoms of all the element are equal on both the sides. Therefore, the above equation is a balanced equation.
