A current of 4 A flows through a 12 V car headlight bulb for 10 minutes. How much electrical energy is consumed during this time?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given : Current (I)= 4A, Potential difference (V) = 12 V , time (t) = 10 minutes =10 x 60 = 600s
To find: Electric energy consumed
Formula: Electric energy consumed = work done = Vlt
Solution : Electric Energy consumed = Vlt = 4 X 12 x 600=28800 J
`therefore` Electric energy consumed is 28800 J
