The rules used for drawing ray diagrams are as follows:
(a) Rule 1 : When the incident ray is paralled to the principal axis, then the refrected ray passes through the principale focus F .
(b) Rule 2 : When the incident ray is passing through the principal focus, the fefracted ray is direction parallel to the principale axis.
(c) Rule 3 : When a incident ray passes throught the optical centre of the lens, it passes without changing its direction
