A body starting from rest moves along a string line with a constant acceleration The variation of speed (v) with distance (s) is repressed by the graph

A

B

C

D

The correct Answer is:
c

Both start from rest hence velocity is zero from equation of motion , we have
`v^(2) = u^(2)+ 2as`
where v is final velocity, u is initial velocity, a is acceleration and t is time. Since, body starts from rest `u = 0`
`:. v^(2) = 2as` Which is ground equation of parabola
`y^(2) = 4 ax`, hence graph is purabols and is systmeterical along x axis
