Alka jogs from one end `A` to the other end `B` of a srtaight `250 m` road in 1 minute and `4` seconds. Then turns around and jogs `50 m` back to point `C` in `30` seconds. Calculate average speed and average velocity in jogging from (i) `A` to `B` and (ii) `A` to `C`.

(i) `A` to `B`
Average speed `= (AB)/(t) = (250)/(100s) = 2.5m//s`
Average velocity `= (vec(AB))/(t) = (250)/(100s) = 2.5m//s` along `AB`
(ii) `A` to `C`
Average speed `= (AB + BC)/(t_(1) + t_(2)) = ((250 + 50)m)/((100 + 30)m) = 2.3 m//s`
Average velocity `= (vec(AC))/(t_(1) + t_(2)) = ((250 + 50)m)/((100 + 30)s) = 1.54 m//s`
