When will you say a body is in (i) uniform acceleration ? (ii) non-uniform acceleration ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

A body is in uniform acceleration when velocity of the body increaes by equal amounts in equal intervals of time, howsoever small the intervals may be. For example, a body falling freely under gravity has uniform acceleration.
The body is said to be in non-uniform acceleration when velocity of the body increases by unequal amounts in equal intervals of time, howsoever small the intervals may be. For example, a car passing through congested areas.
