(a) From `v=u + at`, `v = 0+5 xx 10 = 50 m//s`
(b) Here, `u = 18 km//h = (18 xx 1000 m)/(60 xx 60 s) = 5 m//s`
`v = 0, t=5s`.
From `v = u+at`
`0=5+a xx 5, a = -1 m//s^(2)`
Negative sign indicates retardation.
