While putting out fire, the fire men have hold the hose pipe tightly. Why?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

While putting out fire, water gushes out of hose pipe in large amounts at a great speed. As per Newton's third law of motion, an equal force of reaction developes on the hose pipe in the backward directions. The fire man has to exerts a force equal to the force of reaction to hold the pipe.
