Find the mass of air in an empty room with dimensions 5 m by 4 m and ceiling 3 m high. What is the weight of this mass of air?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Mass of air in the room `m=` volume of room`xx`density of air
`=(5mxx4mxx3m)(1.20(kg)/(m^3))=72kg`
Weight of air, `W=mg=(72kg)(9.8(m)/(s^2))=706N`.
