(c ) Stay at any height in the fluid because the weight is exactly balanced by the buoyant force. Wherever the object is placed, it stays at that place.

The buoyant force exerted by a liquid depends upon the nature of the liquid in which the object is immersed . (i) The body would float if the density of its material is ____ to or___ than the density of the liquid. (ii) The body would sink if the density of the material of the body is ___ than the density of the liquid.

The centre of a mass of any object having uniform density is at its centroid

How does an object's density determine whether the object will sink or float in water?

A cubic block of side a is connected with two similar vertical springs as shown. Initially, bottom surface of the block of density sigma touches the surface of the fluid of density 2sigma while floating. A weight is placed on the block so that it is immersed half in the fluid, find the weight.
