A large auditorium has a curved back. Explain.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

This is done to send sound waves parallel so that these waves can be heard over a large distance. The back is so curved that the speaker is at the focus of this curved surface. Obviously, the sound waves emitted by the speaker after reflection from the curved surface become parallel.
