A source produces 15 crests and 15 throughs in 3 seconds. When the second crest in produced, the first is `2 cm` away from the source. Calculate (a) frequency (b) wavelength ( c) speed of the wave.

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
(a) 5 Hz (b) 2 cm ( c) 10 cm//s.

Here, `v = (15)/(3) = 5 Hz, lamda = 2 cm, v = v lamda = (5 xx 2)cm//s = 10 cm//s`.
