What is the role of the two conducting stationary brushes in a simple electric motor?

Text Solution

Brushes draw current from the battery and supply it to the armature of the motor because they touch the outer sides of the two halves of the split ring. (The inner sides of split ring are insulated and are attached to the axle of the motor).
