A woman starts from her home at 9.00 a. ...

A woman starts from her home at `9.00` a. m., walks with a speed of `5 km h^(-1)` on straight road up to her office `2.5 km`away, stays at the office up to `5.00 p. m.`, and returns home by an auto with a speed of `25 kmh^(-1)`. Plot the position-time graph of the woman taking home as origin.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Time taken in reaching office
`= (distanc 0/( speed 0 = ( 2.5)/5 =0 .5 hr`.
Time taken in returning from office
` = 92.50/(25) = 0. hr. = 6 mim=nums`
it means the woman reaches the office at ` 9.30 a.m.
an dreturms home at 5.06 p.m. The ` x-t` gaph of this motion will be as shown in Fig. 2 (NCT).2.
