An elevator weighing 5000 kg is moving upward and tension in the supporting cable is 5000 N . Find upward acceleration . Starting from rest , how far does it rise in 10 secound ?

` R= 50000 N , a = ? , u = 0 , s = ? , t = 10 s `
` As m (g +a) = R `
` :. 5000 (9.8+ a ) = 50000 , a = 0.2 m//s^(2) `
Again , `s = ut + (1)/(2)/= at^(2) = 0 + (1)/(2) xx 0.2 xx 10^(2) = 10 m` .
