A particle of mass 0.3 kg is subjected to a force F = - kx , Where = `15 Nm^(-1)` . What will be its initial acceleration when particle is released from a point 20 cm away from origin ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Here , ` m = 0.3 kg , k = 15 N//m` ,
` x = 20 cm = 0.2 m `
` F= kx = - 15 xx 0.2 = -3 N `
` a = (f)/(m) = (-3)/(0.3) = -10 m//s^(2)` .
