When a weel is rolling on a level , what is the directionv of fricctional force between the wheel and the road ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

As the wheel is moving forward the portion of the wheel in contact with the road moves backwards Hence the force of friction must be acting in the forward direction along the tangent acting in the forward direction , along tangent to the surface of the road and the wheel in contact .
