An angular ring wth inner and outer radii `R_(1) = 1.2 cm` and `R_(2) = 4.8 cm` is rolling without slipping with a unifrom angular speed. What is the ratio of the forces experienced by the two particles of same mass situted on the outher and inner parts of the annular ring ?

The correct Answer is:
`(4)`

As the angualr ring is rolling without slipping, therefore, its angualr velocity `omega` is constant. So is its linear velocity `upsilon`. Therefore, no net force or net torque is acting on the ring.
The force experienced by the two particles - one on outer part and other on inner part is only centripetal force directed towards the centre of ring. Fig.
`(F_(2))/(F_(1)) = (mR_(2)omega^(2))/(mR_(1)omega^(2)) = (R_(2))/(R_(1)) = (4.8)/(1.2) = 4`
