Assertion : Specific heat capacity is the cause of formation of land and sea breeze.
Reason : The specific heat of water is more than land.

A

If both assertion and reason are true and the reason is correct explanation of the assertion.

B

If both assertion and reason are true but reason is not the correct explanation of assertion.

C

If assertion is true, but the reason is false.

D

If assertion is false but the reason is true

The correct Answer is:
A

The temperature of land rises rapidly as compared to sea because of specific heat of land is five times less than of seawater. Thus, the air above the land become hot and light so rises up because of pressure the cooler air starts blowing towards land from sea so set-up sea breeze. During night land as well as sea radiate heat energy. The temperature of land fall more rapidly as compared to seawater. as seawater consists of higher specific heat, capacity. the air above seawater being warm and light rises up. To take its place the cold air from land starts blowing towards sea and so set up breeze.
