Find the slope of the lines passing through the given points
`P(-3, 1) and Q(5, -2)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`P(-3,1)` and `Q(5,-2)`
let `P(x_(1),y_(1))` and `Q(x_(2),y_(2))`
then `x_(1)=-3,y_(1)=1,x_(2)=5,y_(2)=-2`
Slope of line `PQ=(y_(2)-y_(1))/(x_(2)-x_(1))`
`=(-2-1)/(5-(-3))`
`=(-3)/8`
Slope of lien PQ is `-3/8`
