Find the slope of line passing through L(-2,-3) and M(-6,-8).

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`L(-2,-3)` and `M(-6,-8)`
Let `L(x_(1),y_(1))` and `M(x_(2),y_(2))`
then `x_(1)=-2,y_(1)=-3,x_(2)=-6` and `y_(2)=-8`
Slope of line `LM=(y_(2)-y_(1))/(x_(2)-x_(1))`
`=(-8-(-3))/(-6-(-2))`
`(-8+3)/(-6+2)`
`=(-5)/(-4)`
`=5/4`
Slope of line LM is `5/4`.
