Find the slopes of lines passing through...

Find the slopes of lines passing through the given point.
`E(-4,-2) and F(6,3)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`E(-4,-2)` and `F(6,3)`
Let `E(x_(1),y_(1))` and `F(x_(2),y_(2))`
then `x_(1)=-4,y_(1)=-2,x_(2)=6` and `y_(2)=3`
Slope of line `EF=(y_(2)-y_(1))/(x_(2)-x_(1))`
`=(3-(-2))/(6-(-4))`
`=(3+2)/(6+4)`
`=5/10`
`=1/2`
Slope of line EF is `1/2`.
