`P(-12,-3)` and `Q(4,k)`
Let `P(x_(1),y_(1))` and `Q(x_(2),y_(2))`
Here `x_(1)=-12,y_(1)=-3,x_(2)=4` and `y_(2)=k`
slope of the line `=m=1/2`
`m=(y_(2)-y_(1))/(x_(2)-x_(1))`
`:.1/2=(k-(-3))/(4-(-12))`
`:.1/2=(k+3)/(4+12)`
`:.1/2=(k+3)/16`
`:.2(k+3)=16`
`:.(k+3)=16/2:.k+3=8`
`:.k=8-3`
`:.k=5`
`k=5`
