Why is the constant of gravitation called a universal constant ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The value of the constant of gravitation does not change with the nature, mass or the size of the material particles. It does not vary with the distance between the two particles. It is also independent of the nature of the medium between the two particles. Hence, it is called a universal constant.
