A rectangular loop is being pulled at a constant speed `v`, through a region of certain thickness `d`, in which a uniform magnetic field `B` is set up. The graph between position `x` of the right hand edge of the loop and the induced e.m.f. `E` will be

A

B

C

D

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
B

As `x` increase so `(dB)/(dt)` increase i.e., induced emf (e) is negative. When loop completely entered in the magnetic field, emf=0
when it exit out `x` increase but `(dB)/(dt)` decrease i.e., `e` is positive.
