What is the significance of ` psi_(210` ? Find out angular momentum , spherical nodes and angular node for ` psi_(210`.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

` psi` reperesnts and orbittal an ` psi_( 210) ` has ` n= 2, l = 1, m =0 i.e., 2 p` subshell .
The angualr momentum ` = h/( 2 pi) sqrt ( l( l + 1))`
` (h) /(2pi) xx sqrt 2= h/( sqrt 2pi)`
Also spherical node in
` 2 p = n -l - 1 = 2 - 1-2 =0`
Angular node ` = l=1` .
