When different types of salts have nearly same solubility product constant `K_(SP)` but less than one the most soluble salt is that:

A

which produces maximum number of ions

B

which produces minimum number of ions

C

which produces more charge on ion

D

none of these

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
A

For different salts, such as `AB, AB_(2), AB_(3)…… etc. K_(SP)=S^(2), 4S^(3), 27S^(4)…..` respectively. If `K_(SP)` is same for different salts, then S si more for the salt in which more number of ions.
