What will be the effect on the time period of a simple pendulum, on taking it, to a mountain?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The time period of simple pendulum,
`T = 2 pi sqrt(l//g)`, i.e., `T prop 1//sqrt(g)`. As the value of `g` is less at mountain then at plane, hence time period of simple pendulum will be more at mountain than at plane.
