Here, , `upsilon_(c) = 6 cm s^(-1), D = 2 r = 2 xx 1 cm = 2 cm , rho_(water) = 1 g//c c, eta = 0.01 poise`
As m `upsilon_(c) = (N_(R)eta)/(rho D)` or `N_(R) = (upsilon_(c)rho D)/(eta) = (6 xx 1 xx 2)/(0.01) = 1200`
As `N_(R) lt 2000` ( `:' N_(R )= 1200`) , so flow is laminar.
