What is the reason that a constant driving force is always required for the maintenance of the flow of oil through the pipe lines in the oil refineries?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

When oil is flowing through a pipe, it flows in the from of layers. The motion of oil layers get retarded after travellig certain distance due to viscous, force acting between the oil layers. Therefore, to maintain a constant flow of oil in the pipe, a constant driving force is required .
