How will the weight of a body be affected, when it falls with its terminal velocity through a viscous medium?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

When a body falls through a viscous medium with ist terminal velocity, it is moving with a constant velocity. It means no resultant force is acting on the body, since the gravity pull has been balanced by viscous drag and buoyance of medium. Therefore, the effective weight of body becomes zero.
